Linky Smart Meter Integration
What is the Linky Integration?
The Linky Integration automates the retrieval of real electricity consumption data from Linky smart meters operated by Enedis. Instead of requesting paper bills from clients or manually entering consumption estimates, you can access actual consumption data directly within your project workflow.
The integration handles two tasks automatically:
- Digital consent management: Collects legally compliant consent from your client to access their Linky meter data
- Data retrieval: Automatically fetches consumption data from Enedis and integrates it into your project's load profile
๐ซ๐ท France Only: This feature is exclusively available for French companies.
License Note: Linky Integration is available as a separate add-on. If you don't see this option in your product, please request a trial in the Eturnity Expert or contact support@eturnity.com to learn more.
Key Benefits
- Real consumption data: No more estimating or requesting old electricity bills
- Seamless workflow: Complete the entire process within Eturnity Expert
- GDPR-compliant: Fully digital consent collection without paperwork
- Faster proposals: Reduce time from lead to detailed offer
Where to Find It
To use the Linky Integration:
- Navigate to your project in Eturnity Expert
- Go to the Consumption section
- Click the Import Linky data button
The Linky import wizard will guide you through a three-step process:
- Meter (PDL) informations: Validate the electricity contract using the client's address or PDL meter number (Point de Livraison)
- Consent provider: Specify who will provide consent - either you (if you have verbal consent) or the client via email
- Consent: Collect digital consent through an embedded webform or email link
After consent is provided, Eturnity Expert automatically retrieves consumption data from Enedis. This typically takes just a few minutes, but can take up to 48 hours in some cases.
Understanding Linky Data Types
Enedis provides consumption data in two formats:
Daily Data
- Total electricity consumption per day (kWh/day)
- Available for all Linky meters
- Typically available within minutes after consent
- Sufficient for annual consumption calculations and basic solar system sizing
Subhourly (Load Curve) Data
- Detailed consumption data with sub-hour intervals
- Only available if the Linky meter has load curve data collection enabled
- Enables precise self-consumption analysis and battery storage optimization
- If not currently enabled, Eturnity will automatically activate it for future data collection
Working With Imported Linky Data
Viewing Linky Data
Once data retrieval is complete, the Linky consumption profile appears in your project's Consumption section with a "Linky" tag. You can view the annual consumption and see consumption patterns visualized in graphs (if subhourly data is available).
Working While Waiting for Data
You don't need to wait for Linky data to arrive. You can continue designing and simulating your solar project using estimated consumption values. The system will automatically update when the real data arrives.
Switching Between Load Profiles
If you change to a different load profile type while waiting for Linky data, you can switch back to the Linky profile later. Your Linky profile is preserved in the load profile options.
Important: If you manually edit your Linky consumption profile, your edits will be overridden when new Linky data is received from Enedis.
Data Retrieval Status
You'll see a status indicator in your project's Consumption section showing the current state:
- In preparation: Request initiated but consent not yet submitted
- Consent pending: Waiting for consent to be completed
- Waiting for data: Consent received, requesting data from Enedis
- Daily data retrieved: Daily consumption data is now available
- Subhourly data retrieved: High-resolution load curve data is available
- Consent declined: The client declined to provide consent
- Request expired: Consent was not provided within 1 week
Note: In some cases, you may need to refresh the Consumption page to see the latest status updates.
