Automatically Generate Single Line Diagrams
Why the Single Line Diagram Feature is a Game Changer
Single line diagrams (electrical schematics) are legally required in virtually all European markets - for grid connection approvals, installation documentation, and system manuals. Until now, this meant: spending hours with separate CAD software, paying high license costs, and accepting error risks.
The Eturnity Solution: Automatic generation of professional single line diagrams directly from your existing project data. No separate tool, no manual transfers, no time-consuming corrections.
Core Benefit: The Single Line Diagram feature is part of Eturnity's complete end-to-end process coverage - string plan, single line diagram, and roof plans from one system eliminate time-consuming handoffs between sales and technical planning.
Concrete Benefits for Your Daily Work
Massive Time Savings
The biggest time savings in your planning process: What used to take 1-2 hours per project now takes less than 10 minutes. The single line diagram is automatically generated from your string design and selected components.
Significant Cost Savings
Eliminate the costs for separate electrical diagram software (typically €1,000+ annually). No additional licenses, no training for additional tools, no maintenance contracts.
Minimal Error Rate Through Intelligent Automation
Automatic synchronization with your project data means: Changes to the string design are immediately adopted in the single line diagram. No more manual transfer errors, no project approvals delayed due to incorrect plans.
The feature uses intelligent algorithms to automatically connect all main components and correctly display the electrical connections.
Professional Component Library
The Single Line Diagram feature has a comprehensive, PV-specific component library:
- Standard PV Components: PV panels, inverters (single-phase/three-phase), battery storage
- Hybrid Systems: Hybrid inverters with integrated battery storage
- Protection Components: DC/AC disconnectors, surge protection, fuses
- Metering Devices: Energy meters, smart meters
- E-Mobility: Charging stations for electric vehicles
- Energy Management: Energy management systems, mains connection
- Flexible Components: Round and square "Flexible Components" for all other required components
License Note: If you don't see this option in your product, it may not be included in your current license. Please request a free trial or contact support@eturnity.com to learn more.
How It Works - It's That Simple
Automatic Generation
- Open any project in the Solar Expert
- Ensure your string design is complete
- Click on Documents in the left sidebar
- Select Single line diagram
- The complete single line diagram is automatically created based on your string design
Important Note: Without a complete string design, all main components are initially unconnected. You can wire them manually, but we recommend completing the string design first for an optimal workflow.
Individual Customization and Editing
The automatically generated single line diagram is usually ready to use, but can be individually customized:
- Move components: Drag & drop for optimal arrangement
- Add labels: Click on components for individual labels
- Additional components: Add from the comprehensive library via drag & drop
- Use auto-layout: Automatic optimization of positioning
- Reset from project: Regenerate the diagram after string design changes
- Add notes: Text fields for additional information
Professional PDF Export
- Click on Preview for the paper view
- Review the layout and components
- The diagram is automatically optimally zoomed (width or height maximized)
- Click on Generate for the final PDF
- Download the regulatory-compliant document
Maximum Flexibility
Unlike rigid "click & configure" solutions in other planning tools, the Eturnity Single Line Diagram feature is based on a true, flexible canvas:
- True Canvas: No static templates, but fully editable canvas
- PV-Specific Library: Focused on necessary components without distraction from irrelevant CAD functions
- Hybrid System Support: Icons for hybrid inverters with integrated battery storage
- PDF Generation: Automatic creation of professional documents
- Intelligent Automation: The single line diagram is automatically generated based on the existing string design
What You Achieve With This Feature
After introducing the Single Line Diagram feature, customers report:
